With a Little Help From Our Friends
Circle Project received a little help from our friends at SIIT Construction Career Development Project on Tuesday, January 28 and Wednesday, January 29, 2020, as we began the early demolition work of the former Conexus building on 5th Ave. and Elphinstone. Gifted by Conexus (www.conexus.ca), through a community donation, the former banking site will become the future home of Circle Project’s community programs and services.
Through a newly developed partnership between Circle Project and SIIT, individuals who are seeking a career in the trades had an opportunity to gain experience and build skills that will help them progress towards their goal of graduating. Over the next several months, a building that once housed a financial institution will be transformed into a welcoming neighbourhood space where members of the community can access various programs and services right in the heart of the North Central area of Regina.
Circle Project’s Council and Staff would like to share our sincere thanks to SIIT, Charles Zielke (Instructor) and students: Tania Alexson, Tara Goodpipe, Carter Alexson, David Desjarlais, Kean Arseneault, Francis Bird, Matthew Strongeagle, Darren Crowe Buffalo, Danny Bunn, Robert Gambler and Duane Myran, for your help in creating our future home!
