Community EventS and Activities
As we work in the community, we see a great need to build trust, pride, and support with the people we serve. One of the ways we do this is by hosting or participating in community events that promote fellowship, purpose, and fun for all and help families feel connected to their community.
We work in partnership with other agencies to put on these community events and activities, which engage the members of our community in meaningful cultural and family activities:
- Annual General Meeting (since 1988)
- Annual Children’s Christmas Party (since 1995)
- Circle Project and Friends National Indigenous People’s Day (since 1998)
- Annual Elders’ Christmas Party (since 1999)
- Inter-Agency Chili Cook Off (since 2000)
- Annual Fundraiser for the United Way (since 2010)
- Annual Hearts in the Park (since 2016)
