HOUSING MATTERS Program
“Having this house for me and my children seemed like a far-fetched dream, thank you for the support and listening ears from everyone at Circle Project.” – C.D.
The Circle Project’s Housing Matters program, operating in the heart of North Central Regina, was created to help reduce the number of unhoused people within Regina.
At the Circle Project Community & Cultural Hub, we provide a safe place for individuals to access informal drop-in services, have something to eat from our bagged lunch program and/or access other outreach services like personal hygiene packages.
Once we can start building trust, individuals in many cases begin to share their current challenges. This is when Housing Matters can offer to transition them into the intake and service delivery portion offered through our housing program.
“Who knew I would learn so much about myself and what I deserved through a housing program.” – M.P.
Our goal this year was to house 15 people…
We successfully housed 16 adults and 33 children in 12 months –
an increase of 83% from the previous year!
In addition to our daily programming, you will find Circle Project staff hosting events and activities to help build community pride and inclusion. Our staff also attend community events and activities to support participation and partners. Information booth opportunities help us to spread awareness about our work and engage with the community.
“I loved attending Circle Project’s events. I feel like I am a part of something.” – D.L.
The Circle Project does not tell the community what it needs…
the community tells us what they need.
“It’s not about what or how much you have but it’s about who shows up in your corner. I am always thankful Circle Project shows up.” – V.K.
“Everyone that I met here so far is positive and welcoming. Smudging helps make the building feel more calmer.” – T.N.
