This year for National Indigenous People’s Day, Circle Project and Partners, Indigenous Christian Fellowship and REACH, held an honour walk to remember the 215 children and out of respect for Residential School Survivors. Thank you to Elder Lorna Standingready, Jeff Cappo and Lone Creek, our new friend Katrina Fowler (originally from B.C.), Manny Pratt and the flag carriers. After the Elder’s prayer, 2 minutes and 15 seconds silence was observed followed by an honour song. Then bears were placed on the steps of the Legislative Building. Thank you to ICF for hosting a barbeque following the walk.
